As a parent, it can be challenging to know how to address what has been going on in Baltimore with your kids. They've observed riots and protests. They've caught glimpses of their city on CNN. They've had to process all the pictures of anger and violence seemingly all around them. Interestingly, each child has processed it very differently. Many parents are no doubt wondering how to best help their kids deal with living in Baltimore during such a tumultuous time.

City Church has invited a good friend, Tonya Cherry, to join us for an event that helps equip parents to talk about difficult things with their children. Tonya is a Christian Counselor who specializes in working with children and youth. For years, she has worked as a school counselor and with the Life Counseling Center. Tonya will facilitate a discussion for parents on how to help their kids process events that they may experience or watch on the news that may be traumatic.
