The doctrine of the Trinity teaches that God is one substance with three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. It is a fundamental reminder that God is relational. There is a deep relationship that exists within the being of God that has existed for all of eternity.

The relationship of God the Father and God the Son is on display in the work of redemption. This Lenten season, we are going to look at the nature of this relationship throughout the Gospels. How did Jesus relate to His Father? How did God the Father relate to His Son? What does it all mean for us and for our salvation?
