Sermon Series: Philippians: Counting on Joy

  • Three Arts Club of Homeland 4 Wyndhurst Avenue Baltimore, MD, 21210 United States (map)

Throughout our lives, we all experience tremendous moments of happiness. But those moments are gone as quickly as they come. Joy is different. Joy is abiding. It is not captured by circumstance. It is at settledness of spirit that rides the ups and downs of life.

Philosopher and priest, Pierre Teilhard de Chardin said that “Joy is the infallible sign of the presence of God.” The Apostle Paul knew this. While sitting in a Roman cell, he wrote perhaps the most joyful letter of the Scriptures, the Letter to the Philippians. Join us as we look at this powerful letter on joy.
